The Indian answer to laughing Buddha, our own Indian Laughing Sardar, Navjot Singh Sidhu is not well and has been admitted to Apollo Hospitals in Delhi. The former cricketer and BJP leader has been diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis (DVT).Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals issued a statement, “Mr Navjot Singh Sidhu was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals Delhi today evening with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT). This is a life threatening condition if not treated on time. Mr Sidhu has been put on blood thinners and has been recovering well. His condition is said to be stable as of now.”
The symptoms of DVT are pain and swelling, often in legs and it is caused when a blood clot took place in a deep vein which obstructs the normal blood flow.
