Bollywood playback singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has made headlines many times for making insulting and controversial tweets however this time, twitter took action against him and suspended his account.
On Tuesday, the twitter account of the singer was suspended and it happened after social media users accused him of making derogatory and inappropriate remarks on the women and using obscene language.
Earlier, he has also been arrested after journalist Swati Chaturvedi lodged an FIR against him for making inappropriate comments on her, and after release, Abhijeet cried but he is back to what he does.
Now once again he has made some derogatory comments on female twitter users including Shehla Rashid, the student-activist from JNU. Many twitter users complained about Ahijeet to twitter and it seems that twitter has taken the use of offensive language seriously, this time and Abhijeet’s account has been suspended.
Shehla Rashid tweeted: “Sincere thanks to everyone for the support. Abhijit had to delete his tweet.
His Twitter account has also been suspended. :)”
Earlier Abhijeet tweeted about Shehla: “There is rumour she took money for two hours and didn’t satisfy the client… big racket.”
When Abhijeet was asked his reaction on twitter’s action, he said, “Author Arundhati Roy and people supporting JNU” were behind the suspension of his account. “Yes, I just saw it. They are trying to block Paresh Rawal also. All Arundhati and JNU group behind this after Paresh Rawal and I tweeted against Arundhati for her anti- India stand.”
We are not sure whether this suspension is permanent or temporary but when Abhijeet was asked that whether he will try to get his account reinstated, he said, “I (don’t) care a damn… entire nation is with me.”
